On the relay map, to the right of the crack, click on 'The Shooting Stars' text. When you end your run, the current active character gets all the xp, which is quite convenient for low level characters. Switching to a lower level character by dying, also means that this character will get all the xp awarded by the crack so far. Note that you can switch between floor, but only between level 15+ characters. If they do, you will be switched out to the next living character no matter it's level. If you die in the crack, the mission does not fail for your teammates, and they can still finish the level. Your character's health pool does not regenerate between floors, though talents and weapons can remedy that. Investing in the green tree is a good way to mitigate that, aswell as taking your time to make sure you do not meet a quick demise. The difficultyĭamage becomes unforgiving with time, and enemies become more and more spongier. Note that how far ahead it skips, depends of the highest floor reached within the party, so it might be 10, or 20 floors at first, and then smaller skips ahead. Loot doesn't get better the further down you go (though you do get a marginally better amount of shards).Īnd it also forces the rest of the party to follow you. Generally, there's no reason to take it apart from chasing the top of the leaderboard at the moment. (on that note, only the party leader's phase slip is spent, so make a party if you want to search a bit longer for blessed runs!) The skipping portal Meaning, that if you've got a lot of key and more than enough shards, you can afford to scout the first 4 floors to know if a run's going to be worth it or not, before deciding to go on or not. Note that those rewards can be upgraded by the scavenger tree. For each 4 floors, you're guaranteed to get a floor reward befitting the run, so if you get nothing but green/gray, you're guaranteed one green per 4 floors, and same goes for epic, and legendaries. You don't get anything but the floor rewards, money found in chests, and shards given at the end of every level. Note that you might be partied up with others when going in solo, or no one at all, much like ordinary missions The drops Generally, The crack is a bit more stable when playing solo (which means being the last one to crash, more often than not.) When in a party, it's advised to press 'esc' when the lobby's frozen, which may reduce de the loading time by a bit. At least, for those that don't constantly crash, get disconnected, or get stuck in infinite loading screens. The Crack's currently the best way to get legendaries, as well as the sole source of shards. However those are not centralized anywhere, so I thought I'd try my hand at a small guide! The Crack Hello! Been playing since the release or close enough, and picked up a lot of information through hearsay or the discord.
